  • My mate mincing down a drop!

Oh dear this drop’s too steep for me to ride down, think I’ll walk it.

Oh dear I can’t even walk it, I might hurt my lady bits. I’ll have to go back up and tread carefully down the other one.

Don’t worry he can take the derision, he’s a big lad.

Whilst the camera always lies, is that even a “drop”? Surely it’s just a slope (insert topgear joke yourself here) isn’t it ? 😉

Sometimes if you’re not feeling it, you’re better off not doing it.

Wow, the MODS are quick off the mark today!

Obviously not snoozing sunday evening off in front of Elle & John on Countryfile like the rest of us 😉

    In his defence………
Okay the second one if you look at the most intimidating line looks interestingly difficult to clean and although he has white rims he appears very underbiked 😆

You forgot to include the pics of yourself sending them to flat.

^ I was wondering what one of those little black plastic houses strapped to a tree was the other day. It’s for mice.

back to the topic, any excuses for not taking the drop slope?

At the end of a 2 day camping/riding session over in south wales I was ashamed and disappointed to have to walk some of the big drops on the descent of Skyline but I simply had nothing left in my legs and was cramping up. I ended up cramping in both legs and just falling over onto the grass on the little climb back up to the shop/carpark from the trail and couldnt move for about 10 minutes. Not my proudest moment as people rode past with my lying there still clipped into my bike and twitching.

Ok ok, bit of poetic licence with language, probably not actually a drop but indeed quite rollable. The pic is deceptive though, it is a lot steeper than it looks. It’s one of those ones where if you hesitate on your first roll in, you’ve had it, and you need the momentum to carry you through it. Tbf he did admit to mincing it. lol.

Even better, why not just push him off the edge on his bike (probably cut his brake lines first so he can’t have a sissy “confidence brake” on the way down………)

Blah blah look at my friend and what a rubbish MTBer he is.

    Really?

    Lady parts

All a bit “Top Gear” isn’t it?

If I was your “mate” I’d ride on my own in future.

Oooh, there it is! The now traditional “Even though it isn’t on any more, here’s a bit of TG hating” comment!

Well, yes. Top Gear has just become shorthand for old-fashioned, predictable, macho and boring.

    1. Suggesting that a man has a vagina because he lacks the confidence to complete some sort of macho feat, then…

    2. Calling said vagina “lady parts”

are both totally “Top Gear” 😉

II would have found it quite funny, on either side of the situation.

Extracting the proverbial and banter between myself and my mates is what makes a ride fun, Especially in the cold and wet. Every one get’s dealt their fair share at some point but it’s all good.

Mtbel could do that on his road bike. Backwards. Blindfolded.

Indeed, although more likely to be the one mincing!

Good for your mate Jekyll and guess what, he wasn’t offended!!

Damn I missed a CFH set-up. Apologies but I was interacting with real life. Must try harder.
