Cant diagnose much from your description.

    Can you run now?
If yes on a scale of 1 to 10 what is the pain?

Is it tight? swollen? hurt when you walk? or just when you're running? changed your running style recently? changed shoes? Over done it?

Not swollen, tender when i walk , it feels like i have been kicked in the calf. This is happened last year also then it started after running and jumping a branch .This time I felt it start whilst out running so stopped
the next day ran across park with my daughter and woke up next day in pain so rested . Ran across car park yesterday ping back to square one .

Someone may be along who knows more however it sounds typical of an injury I had a couple of years ago.

Your description "ping" is descriptive. It could well mean you have some small tears in the calf muscle. The pain subsides after a few days but when you return to training it will likely keep happening.
The muscle tissue repairs itself but the repair can leave scar tissue which is more rigid than the original muscle I understand, which makes it susceptible to breakdown.
I spoke to a couple of physiotherapists and googled it a lot! and one method to stop it recuring is frictional massage. This breaks down the repair tissue so it eventually becomes the same as the original muscle and is not suceptible to further breakdown. Its a bit painful but works.
When you are re-habilitating I found calf raises on the stairs useful to build up strenth.

    Gogo luck

Erm, stop running…Give it time to heal. You've got nine days before your run, nothing you do running wise would have a effect on the time you'll do anyway, so complete rest I'd say.

Err have you seen a GP or sports specialist?

    If its a tear-forget it.

Could be tightness or referred pain if the calf is not injured.

Forget May 30th, you need to recovery otherwise risk making it worse.

See a specialist and get a diagnosis.

Thanks all good advice surfer. I am only having a moan cos no one round here wants to listen to me whine about a "self inflicted injury"
