I'm my first enduro style race this weekend. I'm not a serious racer but I'd like to do as well as I can. Its 65k so I was wondering what tips people have around food consumption. I'm thinking drink little and often obviously before I feel really thirsty, but food wise I'm not sure. Given I'll be riding for between 4 and 5 hours do I need anything more than just dried apricots and winegums? Maybe a couple of decent flapjacks?

    Food quantity tips please! 🙂

    stuff you have eaten before.

you can only absorb 350-400 cals per hour.

    so take 2000 calories. (400×5)

and take some food/ money for recovery food when you finish.

So thats a decent cereal bar an hour plus a few bits of dried fruit and winegums on top. Sounds reasonable. As you say not planning to do much different to usual ride but I'd normaly stop for lunch!
