    Any ideas why?

    Mac mini – Alesis 10/26 – Hard Disc.

    The alesis can use an external power supply for Phantom power but it’s not necc and can run on only Bus power. The Firewire HD needs an external power supply to work. THe HD still works minus one firewire port!

    Should the mac not have failed if power demand was too high? I am sure I have set this up this way before? The alesis is dead although is Recieving Bus power.
