Ok so finally got myself a wagon. Using it for a mixture of general car and also biking.
Was going to kit the rear out nice and keep a few bits in.
What do you have in yours, what do you wish you had, and what would you recommend?

Think I’m going to get it ply lined then maybe carpet, led light maybe? And a bucket for cleaning purposes and other things

Added some storage bits since then. Basically cannibalised shoe racks from Ikea. They carry a ridiculous amount of bits

Spare pair of old SPD shoes as I’ve forgotten my shoes on quite a few occasions and meant missing the ride.
Spare tubes and pump.
Camping chair so you’ve got somewhere to sit in the sun.

The best thing I’ve probably fitted to the van is a split charge set-up. It’s running a set of LED interior lights and there’s a couple of 12v sockets for running a portable jetwash or for charging phones etc.
I also use it for running a Waeco 12v fridge which was a bit pricey but absolutely brilliant during the summer!

It’s good to see a few sensible replies at last . Haha funny though.

you want a fold down table on one of the rear doors, a couple of folding camping seats, a fry pan, spray olive oil, kitchen towel, tommy K, metal mugs and a kettle to go on a camping gax stove.. get a whistling kettle for entertainment.

plenty of washing line for drying stuff in van or outside, make a ‘bed’ like in the van above but make it folding as well so you have room to work in van.

blackouts if the cab isnt enclosed that early morning sun is bright..

Spare riding shoes , old hoodie a tube and gorilla grip in torx and hex jet boil wet wipes small towl. Take up little space under the seats.

Also my vans a shed so spare oil water etc

Impact socket and long breaker bar.
Heavy duty trolley jack.
Bits of wood for the trolley jack.
I work at an oem and everyone I know who has their own van regardless of the make carries these. Including the wheel and tyre supervisor. Take from that what you will.

Deffo the above. But make sure the jack works, unlike mine last week 😳

My van has a few crow bars, a bolt cutter and enough locks and handles to re secure a house,along with a wet and dry vacumn cleaner,first aid kit, numerous hi viz tabards and hi viz jacket, a power invertor, to charge battery power tools,and a chiseled buff driver,(thats me)

I forgot to list the bog roll , odd I don’t carry one in a car

Empty 4 pint milk bottle to piss in.

Wipe down walls & a drain in the floor.

Spade, quick lime & a tyvek suit

Second the jet boil, mine lives in an old cool box with water cups UHT mini milk pots and sugar best thing ever a fresh brew!!

Bungees, are a must, too!
