{Now where did I put that packet of biscuits….}

On a more helpful note what’s the general theme of the music for the wedding. e.g I had a Ceilidh so that dictated the choice to some extent….

Ours was Africa by Toto, which was meaningful for us.

if me an t’missus had ever got married it would have been
but it would have been a somewhat x rated first dance – now there is a thought you need mind bleach for

One of my friends chose the them from Minder “I Could Be So Good for You” which I thought was a great idea. His **** of FiL thought otherwise and got the DJ to play something he preferred.

You could even see if he could pop along to sing it live for you. He’s been pretty quiet of late so would probably appreciate the work..

The man appears to release about a thousand albums per year. I’d opt for In To The Mystic or pretty much any other track off Moondance

Ray LaMontagne has some great slow songs.

Go left field with Chic or some Bony M!

Let’s get married or sunshine in leith by the proclaimers? (Unless you’re a Jambo in which case the latter might not be such a good choice)

Much as I like Drac’s suggestion how about True Companion by Marc Cohn? Meaningful lyrics though perhaps a bit old…

“I’ve got a bike you can ride it if you like”

You know more about music than most people I know Paul, surely you can come up with something.
How about not having a first dance at all as its tediously bourgeois. You can invite friends to come up and join you and you can all dance together.
