Anyone found Mucoff kills their pads ?
For years I had no problem - always used it, always used sintered pads. Both expensive OEM ones and the cheaper version off the web.
Just recently though, I found Ive got no more than two rides out of a set of sintered pads on my bike before they failed to stop me. Twice in two weeks this has happened - its expensive as well as frustrating.
I've never had that problem and can't see why it would, unlike GT85 liberally sprayed around?
Could the loss of braking power be related to a post-Xmas increase in weight rather than pad contamination

Joking aside, actually Ive tired everything. No liberal spraying of GT40/WD85, no leaking forks / calipers etc. Im sending the pads back for investigation. Im also trying a different make.
I am totally fed up with my brakes. Similar thing - pads work ok for a ride or two, the develop a banshee like howl and don't stop as well.
Tried removing them and boiling pads / sanding pads and discs at the weekend - no improvement.
I have noticed this happens when not using any cleaning products - bike just cleaned with water.
I don't know what happens, but I am starting to suspect salt on the roads may be an issue.
What make are your breaks / pads? Mine are currently Shimano LX / Clarks pads. Dame thing happened with Shimano pads and other brands I've tried.
7hz - sounds to me like your shimano piston seals are on their way out ....

My front has started doing this.
How does it make the seals go out?
Try some copper slip on the back of the pads, this helps with screaming brakes something to do with vibration against the pistons, SIB
