I'd like to move over to flat bars on my commuter bike, can i use lx dual brake levers with road calipers?

What choices do i have?

Not really. levers designed for V brakes pull too much cable for calipers. It will "work" after a fashion but it will feel very wooden and not give a lot of power.

You either need a brake lever designed for old canti style brakes or you need a set of V brakes for the dual levers.

There may be some sort of adaptor out there but I only know of ones that hook road (short pull) levers up to V brakes (long pull arms).
