Just wonderring what does it take to get set up & what are the costs of setting up.

I am guessing, that at least you need:
    – MTB leader qualification
    First aid certified
    – Insurance
    – Bike !

Is there anything else & what do you carry with you to cater for numpties:
    – Tools (allen keys, spanner screwdrivers, Torqx, chain tool) – all of which I normally carry but anything else ?
    – a goodly collection of brake pads.

You need to be fit and skilled, ideally fitter and more skilled than your followers.

Lol – I nearly added that to the list.

    Also:
    – be a nice guy or gal.

I know a few people who tried to make a living off it and didn’t do very well. You need to be very well know…eg: greatrock to pay your bills.

    Good luck though.

    Thanks for the STW link.
    Some reading and research needed.

I was just ponderring the feasibility of it as a sideline/hobby.
I could not afford to drop the main day job at the moment.

you don’t need a qualification, you do need insurance and a reasonable level of fitness.

The right attitude, it is nothing about your riding it’s all about your paying customers, they are not paying to watch you ace trails you have ridden 100 times before 🙂
