We stumbled upon this little gem of a programme last year, and I find it hysterical, it has me in fits of laughter, but it seems nobody else has heard of it......

Hey, PP, on another cinematic note. Now Elfin's been banned, is it a reasonable time to air that playground video?

Has some very funny moments but overall it's average.

Makes me chuckle.

I think it's an awful excuse for comedy.

Flatboy, nope, never. Sorry.
Back on track, IMO it's the best comedy since Fools and Horses, and at least as good as that...
But obviously other opinions are available

Funny as ****

I was introduced round at some friends house recently. They seem to enjoy it but I have to see it left me stone cold. Apparently the live show (where I think it began) id pretty massive. certainly not my cup of tea and have to admit I do wonder why anyone else would enjoy it.

Thought it was simply ghastly.
My boss loves it though.

Comedy Genius. Absolutely love it.

What's genius about it?
Posted 3 months ago # -
My 84 year old mother got very confused by it.

I don't think it's either genius or anything new, just good solid comedy delivered in a fresh way and done with skill and superb timing. Virtually every show reduces me to tears at some point and we end up rewinding the bits we missed. There's a bit of 'Leslie Neilsen' comedy in it too, quite often, someone else that has the same effect on me.

Saw 1 episode and thought it was dreadful!

I don't get it, at all.
One of the most marmite shows on TV right now, from a quick straw poll round the office.Posted 3 months ago # -
Its almost as bad as Miranda...
And she is awfull..

Its 2012, surely we have progressed beyond men dressing up as women for comedy.
Posted 3 months ago # -
Yeah it seems that way Rogg. I've just not found anyone until now that actually watches it!

Not my cup of tea

Couldnt get into it. Seemed like they werent trying, a bit like that royal bodygaurd rubbish david jason sullied himself with.

That's why there is more than one comedian and more than one sitcom - personal preference! Each to their own. It makes me laugh out loud because it's so simple and not trying to be too clever.

My other half's a fan - i can take it or leave it. "Benidorm", on the other hand has me counting down the minutes till the next episode!
Funniest sit-com i've seen for a long time.

Awful. Really cringeworthy stuff.
delivered in a fresh way and done with skill and superb timing.
Apart from the fact you can see the "punchlines" coming from a mile away

Bob, that makes it even funnier to me, sorry!
I'm a big fan of Benidorm too.

I have watched it from the start and I enjoy it, even my parents think its funny and they dont have much of a sense of humour! lol

Meh. It's very old fashioned, which I guess there's an audience for, but not my cup of tea.

My parents love it, everyone in the office downstairs seems to love it.
My wife and I look at each other in disbelief at how awful it is

Best comedy since Father Ted (I must like my Irish comedies!)

Elfin has been bannned?
How come? He was most well behaved IIRC.Posted 3 months ago # -
I can't bring myself to watch it based on the trailers alone. It looks terrible!

If you like pantomime drag queens using various bastardisations of the the F word whilst doing predictable jokes that you can see coming a mile away, then fill yer boots.
I found it quite theraputic whilst performing major camera surgery on monday night though.Posted 3 months ago # -

If youI like pantomime drag queens using various bastardisations of the the F word whilst doing predictable jokes that you can see coming a mile awayI find it laugh out loud (if only there was a way of abbreviating that) funny. It's not my usual kind of comedy but I do enjoy it.
...this was my contribution to the "Shall we put our dog to sleep?" thread yesterday
This issue was investigated quite sensitively on BBC1 last night. Apparently it's quite commonplace for even the best of motives to be mis-interpreted, leading to confusion and upset.
Mrs Brown's Boys was the programme.
I was watching alone and LOLd about 6 times.
