I’ve had a lovefilm subscription for a while and sometimes use it to stream a film using an old linux box plugged into the telly. It’s not the best quality but it will do.
Lovefilm have just announced they are moving from flash to silverlight which doesn’t work on linux.
What other decent quality movie streaming options are there, that are linux compatible?
I don’t want some dodgy pirate stuff, proper legit suggestions only. It’s mostly used by the kids so needs to have a decent range of recent films available.
    Any ideas?
    Cheers in advance

I think there’s a version of silverlight called moonlight that’s made for Linux.

Might be an option. Failing that get a PS3, Lovefilm is built right in.

Maybe not ideal but you could make a virtual machine with xp on it or something? Although if you don’t use the box for anything else then you could just stick xp on it!
