Really looking forward to popping my cherry next week but was just wondering what the course will be like. With so many competitors is there much singletrack? Is it mainly fire road?

It goes up and then down, then up again and then down.

It’s mostly mud, newly strimmed grass and mud.
Sometimes the sun shines, in which case you’ll get drying mud.

good weather this year. We’re not riding, so it’s bound to be. Am getting trackside to provide abuse encouragement.

Normally camp this side, but last year we were too close to the start, migh try the other side.

They feel like big climbs after a few hours.

Will the rock gardens be bigger this year? How many drop-offs have been included?

Pat is keeping the details under his hat. But they have said that they have listened to riders feedback from last year and will be making significant improvements. Need to remember that they can only do a small amount as they have to keep the area natural. 2 climbs like last year and similar wooded sections I am lead to believe. As for rock gardens, drop offs and north shore. I think not.

last year was around 1400ft of climbing per lap, with two main climbs as dimmadan said.

although the long drag up to grass field felt like a third climb by the end…
