No help, but went boarding in borovets in feb. the bike trails and downhill runs looked ace, amazing berms and big drops / gaps.

One of my regular riding buddies has a place in Bankso and raves about the MTB out there. Although you need a guide to show you the best routes. PM me and I’ll pass on his details. Alternatively go to the MuddyMoles site and look for his write up of riding a Enduro in Bankso and leave a comment for Barrie.

My dads wife has a place in Bansko which I use in winter for skiing. I’ve never been in summer personally, but they use it through the summer and say there are plenty of mountain bikers around. I’m pretty sure it will be pretty good, but whether it is as good as the Alps and worth the extra travel faff I don’t know. Also it gets very warm in the summer, or has during recent summers, as its not quite as high as the Alps, so the heat may be an issue.
