    The Meads Of Asphodel covered Wonderful World, sang it like Louis but changed the lyrics.
    Alice Donut did a superb cover of war Pigs but replaced Ozzy’s vocals with a trombone.
    Apocalyptica (4 Finnish Cellists and a drummer) covered David bowie’s Heroes renaming it Helden and putting the vocalist from Rammstein to work on it in his mother tongue.
    Dead Kennedys version of Viva Las Vegas is pretty good fun.

    All well worth fishing out on youtube (as always, if I knew what I was doing I’d post ’em here meself).

    A lot of bands try too hard to be cute with cover versions, but apparently Duran Duran were deadly serious when they covered this.

    Snuff were the kings of the wacky cover version though, eh?
