I weigh 70kg and rarely break anything so despite the all mountain style bike I’ll be building it lightish so that I can get back up the hills as fast as possible to go down again even faster (well hopefully).

Last question anyone now when the XT clutch dérailleurs will be out?

If you’re after some Formula brakes, Merlin are selling complete brake sets for as cheap as I’ve seen them…still quite a bit dearer than some XT’s though.
The XT Shadow+ mechs are already out too! Maybe they’re sold out if you can’t find anywhere stocking them?

Go for hope hoops with some stans if your not hard on parts. As for the breaks, if you like shimano stay with them the formulas will fill totally different and apparently need a lot of attention. My slx brakes came with ice tech pads so you will be able to get some on xt brakes if that takes your fancy.
