I’ve done a route through Glen Achall above Ullapool up to Loch an Daimh, then the contour on a path at the western end of the Loch to the Strath Mulzie track. I seem to remember the contour path was hike a bike but only for about 2 or 3 kms. There is another track going up the north side of this loch which goes past a building marked Knockdamph then about 7 kms further to Duag Bridge where you can join the Strath Mulzie track. I was looking for the easiest option so any recent local knowledge would be appreciated.

scotroutes /might/ be able to assist. I’ve done the Oykell Bridge to Glen Achall route by bike, a fine route it was, all SS rideable IIRC, but we went up Strath Mulzie rather than along the loch side..

North side of the loch is decent track which leads you past knockdamph bothy.
