1) ordered a new cassette and it came with a different lock ring as was pictured. Checked it with them and apparently the one i got was the right one – but as it wasn't what I expected they've sent out that one anyway! Good for them, and top marks for quick delivery.

2) Ordered a new chainring and HTII tool – less than £20 delivered. Arrived next day.
