bu$$er $hit, w@nk….

A couple of months ago my wifes '06 Focus 2.0 TDCI neede a new clutch and DMF….kerrrr and f..ing ching.

Now it is getting harder to start, at times won't throttle and a couple of times has started and refused to budge from idle. Eventually with a veeeery gentle tickle of the throttle, it'll 'clear itself' and throttles normally.

After a quick Google, main culprit 'could' be ERG valve but also a host of other things.

Any pointers/direct experiences/advice from the STW motoring massive please and what is this likely to cost to resolve?

And I always thought the F.O.R.D acromym was a bit of a joke 🙁

Take it to your garage (doesn't have to be main dealer) and get a diagnostic check done, it should be a better diagnosis than the internet. Egr valves can be cleaned out, although that should would put a fault up. At least that should give you the problem to be solved.

Thanks boobs. It's booked in for a diagnostic, I just wanted some info ahead of time to help sift the bull from the $hit.
