  • Month off over summer – where to MTB ride/base myself in Europe??

    Question to all,

    I’m thinking of taking a month off over summer to do some mountain biking and hiking in Europe – either France, Austria or Italy and I’m trying to decided where would be a good place to base myself. The aim is more mountain biking than hiking and from the riding side of things I want trails rather than hardcore downhill, although a 70/30ish mix would be ok.

    Initially I am thinking Morzine or Tigne maybe. Having done zero mountain biking in Europe (although lots of skiing) I would interested to get some advice/ideas on where others think would be a great place to base myself. I am open to two weeks at one place and then moving on to another.
