I went to the Long Mynd for the first time today and rode down Minton Batch. Sublime, one of the best bits of trail
    I have ridden anywhere.

And to make it betterer, there were no walkers on the path, or anyone else for that matter, despite it bring a glorious Sautuday lunchtime.

    Bonus!

Did you get it completely dry? Well done if so!

If I was honest I would say 95% dry. Good enough for me though 🙂

It’s ok, there are lots of other areas with more and better. Been Long Mynd stones etc a few times. Worth at least one visit.

Brilliant trail. Was running a river down it when I ride it a few weeks ago.

Farmers dog has suffocated under all the crap strewn about.

Yes he was. The tight fitting muzzle made me feel infinitely better about it though!

So what should I be doing apart from MB when I go next time?

    I’ve done 5, 7, 12, 14 on this map.

Never get tired of the area… Zig Zags is one favourite descent, but so much in the area is on offer, nice loop out to the devils chair is good looking back at LM on the loop. . I guess it would be my OP cannock chase if I lived nearer.

Number 9 is my favourite, definitely needs riding, and 10 is very rapid riding down. Explore the other hills around too! Caer Caradoc/Hope Bowdler Hill/Stiperstones are all great.
