Hamsterley Enduro is coming up next weekend (15th) 😀

I have a new bike to build up and get used to before then, and I’m working away in Stafford so looks like I’ll be taking it with me and getting some night riding in over at Cannock Chase / stile cop. I’ve not ridden a full suss in over a month so not expecting anything special!

WHY is their website so rubbish???

I was up in Hamsterley back in November to watch some rallying, looked a good spot to ride, and there were a fair few out on bikes, despite the risk of being knocked off by a passing MK2 Escort doing 80mph.

Presume it’s got some decent trail/sc stuff to ride?

I’m in too, should be a good one, be interesting to see the stages, I have heard 1 black and 2 reds.

Yeah, 2 reds and a black. I’m pretty comfortable on the reds but not ridden the blacks there so I’ll go before the race. Hoping the climb will just be the fireroad.

It depend I don’t think they will use full runs.

My guess is a full/upper red, then an upper/lower red then a lower black or something like that.

Itll be the lower reds, making people ride ETD and Dai Hard is asking for trouble from novice riders.

Im hoping for any of the following, vicious valley, bonneville, rim dinger, pork belly and coal not dole.

If I were to enter I’d need to know the answer in advance lol.

I’ve done whichever one of the two has the table tops at the top. But it wasn’t good and wasn’t graceful. I’d rather the Red/Blues but can understand why that’s not ‘proper’ enduro

Bonneville is garbage in the wet though.

    I reckon something like
    S1: Wibbly Wobbly
    S2: Rim dinger
S3: pork belly & deep navigation
some thing like that, the lower blacks are not as hard as the upper ones.
However I still have fingers crossed for 3 full runs top to bottom 😈

Fitz that would be awesome… whilst I wouldn’t set any records… I’d certainly be tempted…

Althgouh I’ve just sold my AM bike LOL.

Bonneville is awesome in the wet, its worn so much its gritty and grippier than you think.

I hope its not wibbly wobbly, worst trail on the mountain imo. Vicious valley with the new wooden drop to start which opened yesterday gotta be a certain.

I think it will be two trails together for one stage as well. Rim dinger is short, its only a 2 minute run.

scott* only races on his HT coz its a small field and he can say he came top ten

    * that enduro last week where he was still top 10 in masters was obviously a fluke

    Stages are up then.

S1 – Dai Hard – from below the start gap jump.
S2 – Wibbly Wobbly into Rim Dinger – half of rim dinger to the climb.
S3 – Vicious Valley into Bonneville. Starts where it splits from A470 and ends where Bonneville joins Blue Belle.

See you tomorrow, or later if you’re registering today!
