    Hi, All.

My wife was 'aving a fag and spotted several fast-moving orange lights above Gloucester..lasted about 10 mins. Anyone else see this?

there were about 10 in the time I was watching

I was going to say something like "don't watch it, you'll go blind, and then the man-eating plants will get you"

but Drac kind of beat me to it 🙁

no noise at all though..and went across the horizon in 10- 20 secs.
By comparison, a normal passenger plane takes 10 times as long and you can hear it.

    very bright orange, too.

ah, but you didn't hear them, did you?

If you weren't looking right at them they could've sneaked right up on you. Pretty stealthy I reckon. I bet if your eyes only saw in radar wavelengths, you wouldn't have seen them 😉

A common UFO are novelty hot air ballons. Bright orange (lit up by flame), silent and can appear quite fast moving as much closer than you think. Usually part of some celebration and many are seen in a short space of time.
    HTH.
