Thinking of going for one in an auction tomorrow (mentioned on here).
Can this unit be used on a bike and if so is it sun readable and does it have enough battery life to leave the display on while riding for at least 5 hours?

I’ve got one, have used on and off for the last couple of years – though using it loads in the last year out on the road. It can be a pain to see in bright sunlight and unfortunately the map does not rotate according to the way you are facing. However it does the job nicely, turning the contrast up to help see in the sunlight does eat into the battery life, as does setting it not to go into power save mode.

Am planning on getting the extended battery pack to help with long rides – the biggest downfall is you can’t swap the batteries like you can on some others
