Has anyone found anywhere to camp here before? Coming over for a few days on a budget so don’t really want to pay for expensive accommodation. What about just sleeping in the back of a van, has anyone been and had trouble with this. Will obviously be discreet! Cheers

    2 campsites in Allemond centre:

Simple and very cheap. Elec hookup available.

    Slightly posher.

Both are next to the end of the Mega, which is nice. Bus upto Oz in the morning, although this is a bit of an early start on race and qualifying days.

I’m thinking of just rocking up to qualifer and the race and sleep in van, as said above there is an area for camping which is free, not like back in the day when they moved you on.

Done the free camp thing under the lift, was fine with a van and also have camped down in allemont.
Take lots of warm clothes especially if you camp up top, last year some of the guys in vans ended up spending the week in a carpark to get away from the weather.
Granted last year was extra crap weather wise.
