I doing mega avalanche this year for first time, looking for advice on the best bike to buy I’m thinking Santa Cruz nomad cc or yeti sb6.
But open to suggestions from experienced riders

Not a great deal of difference between the two bikes. The Nomad will be marginally more DH biased whereas the Yeti will be snappier under pedalling.

Nomad CC prob best based on the pre-prodcution issues with the SB6C!

either way, plenty of frame protection is a good idea , old tyre on the downtube etc, stays wrapped well, some big pointy rocks- lot of potential for rock strikes on that lovely carbon finish, a weeks riding on that course adds years on to your bike 😉

Couldn’t you say a similar thing about any pre-production bike?

Exactly. The racing debut the SB6 had was nothing short of ideal.

im sure the sb6c is a brilliant bike

the latest reviews, however were nothing short of disastrous, 3 cracked rear triangles on 6 a grand bike…….

Whichever one you want to ride for the next 3 years after the race. Both will probably be excellent, the rest will be up to you.
