I prefer making a racket in the boiler room with a cheap blunt axe.

Nice idea, but you would have thought for that price they would have designed it with some kind of mechanical advantage in the pivot.

I bet it wouldn’t split 2 foot long bits on knotty oak. As for kindling I have 5 kilometres of 100 year old roof battening so I can’t see one of those being on the Xmas list.
