Hmm.. I’ll think I’ll have to stick with tradition, considering the time of year.

    Parsons Green.

Turn your hat backwards, do 3 press ups and drop your trousers mudchute

Sorry, that’s an invalid move. Bethnal Green to Mudchute at Christmas would put the next player in knipp, and as per the OP,

    non aggressive moves only

Also, I don’t think you’re taking this game seriously. The middle of a move is no time to start doing exercises.

    Hmmmmm.

I take it we’re using the Bismark amendment on non-consecutive clockwise moves?

So, Porte Molitor, the hard way.

I hate to do this. But I was sure that the 1914 trench rules were declared null and void after the 1944 ardennes forest gambit was established

    Well, it is Christmas Teeto,

would be very cold at this time of year.

I’m guessing it’s too early for a deep foray to Gare de Lyon, so I’ll skirt Piccadilly Circus and straight to Green Park

Quite true old chap, however Entente Cordiale, and all that.

I’m off to see Big Bertha in Bayswater

    Bayswater, hmm?

Well that leaves a nice diagonal free to Kings Cross St Pancras which should open up the game a bit.

If we were to go North West now the doors would close too soon so i’ll be an Angel and head East.

Graham – this one is purely for nostalgia, assume ’44 hasn’t happened.

    Clapham

Whitechapel ! Dear lord, I think we should coco round to the civilized world, although this may be classed as a backwards move, if someone could clarify.

    Temple

Mornington Crescent. It’s a game played on the london Tube Map. the aim, as the title suggests, is to get to Mornington Crescent.

The rules are a bit complicated (and we’re using an old ruleset here for nostalgia reasons), the best way to learn is probably by playing.

Unfortunately, under these rules and assuming the Vienna amendment, we now have to go to Paddington sorry everyone, that’s the rule.

Back to Temple just to get us out of a hole. Anyone else having memories Stockholm ’82?

Vauxhall seems a little exposed for me, though I think I follow your logic. In which case: Seven Sisters.

I don’t want to put you in Nidd obviously with it being Christmas so I’ll use one of Trumpington’s Variations here and go to Embankment. I know it’s a bit of an obvious move but it’s a good strong play in these situations I always find.

If the argyle street parabola is valid today, and I believe it is, then I should be able to play Goodge Street without being considered too aggressive. Of course that really depends on what’s played next.

Ooof… Good call Onzadog, well played.
