    I want to run some 650+ tyres on my 29er stumpy, whats the biggest tyre/rim combination you can fit in a standard 29er set up, tyre recommendations as well please.

    Plenty room for 2.8 Nobby Nics on DT XM551s in my 29er Pikes.

    I’ve got a 2.8 NN on an i35 in the front, and a 2.8 trailblazer on an i29 on the back of my 2012 stumpy. Room for bigger at the back I think.

    I can just about shoehorn a 3.0 Vittoria Bomboloni on a DT XM481 rim in my standard Pike. It’s a great tyre, plenty volume and grip and rolls well too.
