Is a 2.4 mountain king or rubber queen out of the question?

Nah – I've had 2.5s on there – ghetto tubeless at low pressures and they survived the Mega. They are better on a wider rim though

Would it be true to say that the higher the preasure the better they stay on the rim?

I've a 2.35 Kenda Blue Groove up front and it's ok.

tried one, felt a bit squirmy. Now running high roller 2.3 and they seem perfectly matched.

    Recommended rim tape: 559 x 20 x 0.6

Yeah, at low pressures they do roll around a bit – never had the tyre come off but handling felt a bit odd.

These tyres are completely different sizes (MK << RQ)

I would imagin that a 2.4" MK would be fine, but a 2.4" RQ is probably a bit too big.

I have used 2.35" Kendas no probs though.

I've had 2.4 MK at about 30-ish psi on a 717. and it wasn't too bad squirm-wise. should be OK on a 719
