I’ve got a new pair of Mavic Crossride Disc wheels which are great (at the price) but…

The rear hub flexes, causing the brake rotor to rub annoyingly on the pads. I can see the flex at the hub if I grab the top of the wheel and pull it either way. Is this a case of the hubs just being a bit flexible or do I need to adjust the bearings (there is no noticeable play in the bearings, on or off the bike, it’s more like flex in the whole assembly).

If I do need to adjust the bearings, is there anything special I need to know or is it just a case of a couple of cone spanners and nip them up until they’re tighter but still run freely?

Oh, and it’s definitely not flex in the frame (it’s a new Chameleon and they don’t do flex).

Advice from anyone with experience much appreciated.
