I'm considering buying a set of these to fit to my 5 spot. So i'm after user opions , ease of set up ,etc. They'll replace a set of fox 32 floats so good move or not.

Do a search for 55 and 44 rc3 ti's, been loads threads about them.

great fork, ran a 44 Ti all last year with no problems, no services done to it, simple to set-up and never touched them all year, work real well, you can set them plush or sx style stiff, good do it all trail/all-mtn type fork, i even did some xc races with it and it can also take some harsh riding,

I bought some 44s last week, only rode to work on them so far but oh my god! they are sooo plush. That's all I can say at the moment! CRC have some 55s going cheap

Thread a couple of weeks ago consensus was they are the best 150mm fork. I have some 55rc3 ti still to be fitted

Today was my first ride back on the 44's after 6 months on Fox TALAS (which had started getting overly oily stanchions). They have a very very different feel - they really do suck up the trail in a way the fox don't (and the Fox are great forks when they're working well).
If there are any downsides it's possibly that i've not got them set up perfectly yet. Adding air modifies the end of the stroke rather than making them firmer to start with (there's no spring pre-load adjustment) and they dive under braking more than the fox. I probably need to wind in a bit more compression damping. Snow and ice today wasn't the best time to be messing with a fork!

Fitted a set in December and sadly havent used them properly, work/surfing has eaten into riding time, should be going upto Wales in the next couple of weekends, looking forward to testing them properly.
I can only confirm they are light and very bouncy at the moment.

They only come with two springs, medium and soft. If you're heavier you need to use an air preload to get the right spring rate, at which point they become just another heavy air fork.
I've tried the 55s and they were OK but not great (I had to use loads of air preload).
Best 140-160mm fork period is the Bos Devile.

Didn't clock you were a heavyweight GeeTee... you cover it well.
Manual claims 78psi for 65-85kg/15psi 85-105kg. At those sort of pressures surely you're only riding the air spring at the limit of compression (ie on big hits). Where I've seen criticism it's been around the air causing 'spiking' by which i guess people mean a big hit causing a 'kickback' off the air which overwhelms the damping but it's not something I've had a problem with.
I'm 80kg and probably had 15psi in yesterday (probably running closer to 10 last time I was running them) and they still feel completely different to the Fox and Rockshox I've been riding for the last 5 years.
