bit difficult to tell without knowing how well done he likes his toast but from the grainy pic it does look like heavy spreading to me. “Overmiting” your knife is a serious concern, too much on your toast is bad, don’t even think of scraping it back into the jar and licking it off the knife is a bit grim even for the most devoted marmite fan.

Rubbish – nobody cut off the crusts, this will not do.

Nonsense. If anything I have the opposite problem, I can never get enough thick brown deliciousness loaded onto the knife and have to double-dip to cover a slice.

Nigella Lawson did a Marmite and Butter pasta dish on her last series…. not tried it but I do love Marmite mixed with melted butter (Yes I do need to diet) so I can see where she is coming from 😀

Wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong – on so many levels….
Marmite needs to be banned from use, publication, advertisements, memories – the whole 9 yards.

Looks good, although I do prefer cheap white bread for marmite.

What you’ve got there is cooking Marmite. Essential ingredient in a good chilli, for example (doubly so if you’re vegetarian).
