mexican food suggestions- don’t expect much!

you can get pretty decent burritos from barburrito (one on deansgate and one on piccadilly gardens), but they’re far from authentic.

also, pancho’s in the arndale centre food market. at least he actually is mexican, and to be fair his burritos are probably better than barburrito’s, but they’re quite pricy and it’s not a restaurant type environment but more a market stall really.

There used to be a decent Mexican on Portland Street (El Macho?) but that shut down years ago. Couple of decent Brazilians though.

It’s Bem brasil, can be expensive dependant upon what time you visit, but they have happy hours or various offers. It’s good if you like meat, meat and more meat! You have a red / green disc on your table, flip it to green for the waiter to put another animal on your plate, or flip it to red if you want a rest and they’ll leave you alone. It’s not a Mexican though!

Panama Hattys do good Cajun and Mexican food. Never disappointed me. Great service too.

Stayed in the place, apartments next to Piccadilly station, they’re pretty cool and have underground parking.

We usually become boring and just book Malmaison though.

Best hotel, and it is central is Sacha’s. Have a read of the reviews on Tripadvisor.

The tripadvisor reviews are fantastic. Any Manchester local knows that Sachas is a flea pit though.

Sacha’s is a right dump. I’ d rather sleep on the street.

Avoid ‘Amigo’s in the centre, it’s vile.

Holiday Inn Express on Oxford Road is pretty good and fairly central. You can jump the free shuttle bus from Oxford Road station to other parts of the city.

Sachas gets 6.4 on booking.com. Wouldn’t stay anywhere less than 7.5 or 8 if there’s choice.

    What’s the budget?

    Probably £90- £100 for hotel

mexican is the one thing that manchester lacks, oddly, there is tons of other brilliant food – San Carlo for italian, Little Yang Sing for Chinese, Evuna for tapas

and the posters above were taking the piss about Sacha’s – it’s a notorious toilet
