    A mate at work has just got his B2W mtb today from Chain Reaction. The rear brake needs bleeding.

    We are wonderng if it is possible to use a standard mineral oil e.g. LHM (like shimano) to bleed them? Is magura "Blood" special in any way?

    to answer your question, magura will tell you to use their royal blood, but in practice standard mineral oil will do.

    might be worth letting it stand for a bit and seeing if it settles down – could just be some air that's moved aroudn in transit.

    Job done. It did need bleeding. Used LHM+
