what voodoo is needed to enable a shared folder on a macOS server (Sierra) to be searchable on a client Mac? Apparently it should be automatic if the share is AFP (which it is), but I’m obviously missing something…

Is it still being indexed for searching or have you given it some time?

I created a shared folder with a single file in it for test purposes. I’ve done the spotlight privacy trick (on the client & on the server) to encourage Spotlight to index it but that hasn’t helped!
