The 2 bottom of the range models at £879 whats the difference and will I notice the difference? I really fancy the Air as an alternative to the ipad

    You opinions and experiences?

I’ve got a MacBook and imo if you can afford it get the MacBook pro, wish I did. It comes with 4mb standard rather than 2mb and expandable up to 8mb, backlit keyboard (such a simple feature but i miss it) and a SD card slot and a firewire 800 port. But if you don’t need any of that the MacBook is still a nice little computer. The Air has a smaller screen slower processors and no optical drive.

Not hugely helpful as I don’t know much about those models but if your considering an 11″ screen, I’m typing this on a Dell Mini 10v with wifi, bluetooth and 350gig HD that is running OSX.
Frankly…. it’s lovely and in total it cost me £150.00.

^^^^ save a fortune. To be honest if this Mac goes tits up I won’t be replacing it with another.

Price is without OS, so you could try Ubuntu Studio or whatever OS you like or source the best windows deal you can find separately
