I’ve only had mac’s for about 8 years now, so should know this but here goes..

when typing, the autocorrect will throw up the suggested word, if it’s not in the dictionary then I have to manually click on the cross in the top right corner of the word box to get rid of it.

Anyone know a short cut, if I click return or shift it selects the word, then i have to retype it and click the cross again with the mouse.

    that make sense?

EDIT – found it, use the escape key

You can change the settings for it. First thing I changed when I started using a mac, as it was auto-correcting stuff in the same way an iPhone does, without my knowledge!

No longer a mac user though, so don’t ask me where the settings are.
