Hi all, Wondering about using the M785 2×10 chainset or equivalent as it looks ace,

…but changing rings to a 1×10 friendly size for round here, maybe a 34. How is the main ring on these chainsets fixed? it looks like a single bolt from outside through the arm and ring then the usual recessed nut, but in this case there is no outer ring or bash ring to fill the depth. So is the bolt shorter on these than the usual 3 ring chainset?

if there is nothing special about the rings themselves then any old 104bcd should go on yes?

normal rings and the chainring bolt is recessed into the spider arms.
