Our running club is going to Whitby next month and I’ve been volunteered to lead a bike ride of about 30-40 miles. Looking at a route taking in Tom Bell Lane, Falling Foss waterfalls, up onto Fylingdales Moor, into Langdale Forest, pub lunch at Langdale End and return through Whisper Dale and Harwood Dale to Ravenscar and onto the old railway line back to Whitby.I’ve ridden the track across Fylingdales taking in the various stone crosses which is quite nice, but not much else, can anyone give me any pointers of good routes through Langdale and Broxa forests or any tips on the condition of the bridleways, I think it is going to be a fairly long day and don’t want too many muddy slogs slowing us down.

Pistonbroke…No probs, just mail me (details in my profile) and I will give you local knowledge. Would put it out on here but we try and keep it a little bit secret.
