Late 1970’s build, new windows fitted about 5 years ago.
Currently doing up the kitchen which is Westerly facing, we have always had bother with water ingress when the wind is blowing the rain horizontally at the house. Resulting in water dripping from somewhere above the wooden facings around the window.
Today I have removed the facings and dug all the expanding foam out and it looks like the damp proof course, which probably wrapped around the lintel somehow, has been cut back.
I will hopefully be covering up the whole sorry mess with new plasterboarding!
    What are my options?
