I saw a guy riding this morning.
On a steel frame, fully ridged rig riding to the train station. What I’m trying to say is that he was not on any kind of enthusiasts bike But it wouldnt be if it was being left at the sration… But he did have his fork on back to front.
As best I can work out this would raise the bb height, steepen the steering angle, shorten the wheel base, sharpen the steering and make the ride very twitchy as the rig tries to “drop off” the spun fork to the lower position it was designed to be in.

My question to you is: is the rider a secret genius who knows something I dont?
    Or a complete tit
Or did the poor bugger buy it like that from Halford 15years ago?

Translation – bloke who is an expert sees someone making a mistake. Instead of offering helpful advice, comes on internet to gloat over own superiority and the dumbness of others? 🙂

Simonralli2: I ain’t no expert but thanks for the props
And how can you tactfully offer advice to someone travelling at speed in the opposite direction??

    Seriously:
Could there be a benefit I haven’t thought of?

oh and Fully ridged = no suspension. Unless my spelling is faulty

maybe he was trying to make his bike less nickable?

    ‘dork it out’

    you know the kind of thing;
panniers even if you don’t use them,
    bent handlebars,
    old tyres,
    rust,
    mis-matched pedals/grips,
pipe lagging over the tubes – in turn wrapped in gaffa tape,

    forks on backwards?

Re: wwaswass post. Perhaps there should be a "sticky thread" with common misspellings, words such as rigid, brake, through, you know what Im getting at.
There is NO excuse for poor spelling or grammar
If you`re dyslexic, put the keyboard down and step away from it please!
