As a Leeds fan of many years it is pretty painful watching a side low on confidence, low on luck and low on creative or defensive ability. 2-0 down and the strikers are not getting a sniff so we sub one striker for another. Early season optimism is slowly changing to genuine relegation fear at this rate!

And 10 mins later said striker hasn’t touched the ball. And still no shots on target. Rant over.

You beat us at Elland Rd, I was there and you played us off the park…

Quite amusing for the rest of the football community. On a par with Man u when it comes to putting yourselves on a pedestal. How many times do we have to listen to ‘we are too big a club for this division’ etc etc.

One of the few confident performances but even then Derby were below par. We are relegation bound at the moment as I expect Wigan to pick up at some point.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a team give the ball away under no pressure in their own half as much as we have after we scored the first goal!

eskay – not from any of the fans I know – most have been wondering whether we will have a club at all for the last few years. But we are too big a club based on fan base, along with a few others. Fan base doesn’t count for points tho unfortunately.

nothing amusing in seeing a great team with a massive fan base struggling IMHO
    The fans deserve better

Premier league would be better with Leeds in it and its a proper shame for the fans

No shots on target says it all. *shakes head and wonders where it all went wrong (tries to ignore signing Fowler and losing to Cardiff)*

Ignoring all of that, they are one of a number of clubs who have been unbelievably mismanaged (at board level) over the last few years.

I hope Leeds can come back to the top flite. I’d far rather see Leeds in the Premier league than some of the shit we have currently.

Ok 🙂 there may have been some mismanagement. Allegedly.

There seems to be a lot of effort without much structure or plan. Some of the players look like they’ve never played together before. Seen them a couple of times this season (won v Boro, lost v Fulham) and in both games the only player who seemed to make a difference was Billy Sharp, and he seems to be on the bench most of the time.

We are dropping down the table like a stone, can’t sign anyone in January, and basically need a major piece of luck to stay out of the relegation fight.

I look forward to the day we will no longer be the laughing stock of the Football League.

Shining light is Lewis Cook. We have some decent youngsters but the Championship is a hard league to learn in when you’re in the bottom half and struggling. The myriad of signings looked decent early doors but not now….

Always funny to see Leeds lose, although not against Derby.

As for the Premier League being better with Leeds in it, 😆 What tosh, regardless of the fact they have a high amount of fools (fans) willing to spend silly amounts of money to fund tosser after tosser who owns them, the league is far better off without such a circus.

Gone are the days of Leeds being famous, their fans were more or less begging for the latest crook to be allowed to buy them.

Why is it funny to see Leeds lose? I really , REALLY don’t get the hatred of one set of supporters against another.
Leeds fan, ex season ticket holder, but still follow Man U, Chelsea, arsenal etc. it’s all football isn’t it.

    Who mentioned hatred?

Although I can see why someone who follows multiple teams may get the wrong end of the stick.

    Why is that then?

wrightyson – you can offend some on here using that term, apparently 😉

Listened to the match on 5Live, Robbie Savage was scathing about Leeds, some of which is on the BBC online report. Seems a lot of Leeds problems are probably linked to their off the pitch soap opera.

MCJnr and I got tickets for Derbys FA cup match on Saturday for Christmas. So glad he supports his local team*. We’ll see how the Rams do against plucky Southport. Only £10 for adults and £5 for kids if there are any tickets left.

Leeds are doing perfectly fine as they are. No doubt they’ll raise their game in their impending cup final in Huddersfield though.

As a Leeds fan I’m ‘cool’ with the outspoken dislike as it’s par for the course (they all hate us ;)) but such rivalry, if I can call it that, it what makes for a great atmosphere at games. Truth is we’re not a mile off being a Top Six side but confidence and a bit more tactical know how makes it look a huge gap at the moment.

    @john
so you didn’t sing “stand up if you hate Man U” before every match no matter who you where playing ? I have to say a Leeds season ticket holder who follows Man U is pretty rare species.

EDIT FWIW I am a Spurs fan that’s happy to acknowledge Arsenals success.

I’ve heard of an even rarer breed – someone who goes to both Owls and Blades games, although I think it’s more of a thing from the past

Neither my best mate or me can describe ourselves as football fans. He supports Leeds and I support Aston Villa. It’s awful.

@john so you didn’t sing “stand up if you hate Man U” before every match no matter who you where playing ?

Never and was once accused of being a ManU fan by the person I had sat next to for the previous 4+ seasons week in, week out(more bizarrely it wasn’t even a ManU match) . I just do not get it. I will join in a bit of banter but I don’t ‘hate’ ManU. And back in the day we were in the Premiership loads of the Leeds and ManU players socialised together lots (I knew Ian Harte so know this first hand) so clearly the players don’t hate each other – so why shoud the fans?

And I ‘follow’ ManU because I like football and the top teams are normally good value to watch. I don’t care if they win or lose that much (same as with Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal etc) but I follow their results more closely than other lower profile teams, that’s all.

If your waiting for Wigan to pick up, don’t it looks like we are doomed, the entire club is in turmoil

The demise of Leeds started at Cardiff in the 2006 Play Off Final when Watford beat them comprehensively 3-0

    Glory days !

That was the “high” point of the last 10 years 🙁

There was also a 1-0 win in the FA Cup at Old Trafford but that was more of a (very welcome) blip
