Battery on my 5yr old laptop has announced it’s on its last legs. Looks like a Dell replacement is £120 ( :() and other ‘unbranded’ ones around £25-40. Any recos of where to buy from for a non-Dell? Have heard a few bad stories that buying off non-branded is unsuccessful.

Is the Dell one going to be much better altho not sure it’s worth spending that much vs buying a new laptop.

A guy at my work bought a no name li-on battery for his phone on ebay. During the night and while on charge it caught fire and burnt his flat down. No harm to him or family (luckily they all escaped). It really made me think about buying cheapo batteries. Usually stuff is cheap for a reason.
