Anyone been before? I’m planning on doing it as a day trip so won’t have time to pick tickets up before the event.

I think last year was sold out, it would be a fair way to go and not get in

Does anyone know if tickets will be available on line? II had a look on the website but the link for tickets seems to be broken.

    Thanks

I’ve been a few times and have always paid at the gate. I think the only time the place was full was when the World Champs were there, 2012. Its a great event and watching the action in the sand is where most gather. I like to wander around a bit and find places where the crowds aren’t so deep. You can get very close to the riders in the riders village, except Sven Nys who plants his campervan on private property. Wont be the same without Neils Albert though.

For a World Cup you should get in fine, the crowds won’t be quite so mad as when the worlds were there. If you aren’t staying locally it’s worth parking in De Panne and getting the tram then bus/walk the last bit to avoid the traffic.
