So been using a Hamax seat on a rack and all has been well for the forst three years of my daughters life on a bike.

Hoiwever as she is now about 18kg and 1.1M tall the weight of her on the back is astarting to make cycling less enjoyable, especially for the SO where the seat is behind the axle line of the wheel.

So we need a solution, we have seen co-ride and weeride front seats but they look like her legs may be too long.

A tag along seems a bit much at her age and concerned she would get distracted and not hold on(?)

A trailer I am not keen on as we will be using it in the road (not much but enough for it to be a worry)

SO other than a cargo bike, anyone have any suggestions??

my daughter was fine on our tag-along from 3 years upwards.

they don’t pedal much but she could hang on well – I think a sense of self preservation kicks in 🙂

(I am selling our Adams folding one now as she’s 10 now and getting a bit big for it)

This was what we did. I added a tagalong, once Son2 got too large for the seat. Now sadly, both are too large for the bike. New tandem time!!!
