Someone who is vocal about how much they “hate” a particular group of road users simply doesn’t have the temperament to be in charge of a 1/2 ton moving lump of metal.

I know it’s all money and that, but i’d refuse to teach a person with those prejudices unless they’d shown some sort of acceptance to change/learn.

I understand completely what you are saying and it the time I wanted to tell her to get out my car, but if they are going to want to learn they are going to learn be it with me or someone else.

Contacted the DVSA, so waiting to hear back from them and reported him to Bed’s police. They won’t do anything but as the person on the phone said, it’s now on record for the next time he does it.

Grayling will not be held to account for his ignorance – which can be corrected – but he should be.
He should be ‘encouraged’ to retract his remarks and issue a correction.

Does he have any idea of how many (or should I say, few) miles of cycle lanes there are in the UK – I mean properly segregated, fit for purpose, appropriate width, properly maintained and that includes regular sweeping as happens on roads.

They will be there 9 till 5 normally and you get straight through to a real person. Only trouble is if he has taken his page down or its been taken off, have you a screenshot or anything of his reply to you ?

The lines that are manned 8am – 12 are the booking lines I think. We have a shortcut we use but it’s like getting hold of the queen to the general public.
