Why does it have to be LHD on UK roads? You can order a RHD from a German/French/European dealer.

RJ – in the way, in what way are the wheels not connected to the steering wheel?

Or like my old 5 series where the V8’s had recirculating ball type vs the better rack-pinion system on the smaller models?

Propshaft for the front wheels comes forward from the rear of the transmission, and the steering column fouls this on RHD, so no RHD available.
