    I’ve made a playlist & want to export it as one single mp3, is this possible? I’ve googled but the only way I can think to do it is burn to CD & then re-import into itunes, which seems a bit of a faff…

    I don’t think you can. You’ll need to glue the individual MP3s together in some audio editing package or other.
