(sorry)How did you find the drops?

Surprisingly good actually. They where great for long rides across the moors and laps of dalby. Techy stuff was hard at first but second time out I just got used to it.
I did find them hard work on steep descents though.

just seen your FS post duckman. I'd think you'd be very surprised with the ride of the swift forks. I tried a few forks, niner/white bros and even an enabler with fat tyre and the original fork. The original fork always won hands done for comfort and handling (2.35 tyres helped the comfort too). I think quiet a few swift owners will probably agree.

Yup, swift forks (longer version) are the dog's nutz

Yup, I've tried carbon ones but the Singular ones rock - cause they match the frame colour
Fit a large'ish volume tyre (2.25-2.4) and its a good as a suspension set up.
Carbon ones didnt work, no offset, no feedback.
Steel is real !

I must admit I would be trying out the copper ones for the above reason Bunners...Also James has given me food for thought with drops as I will be doing the sort of riding you describe above in the Highlands.
