I’m looking for some advice with bike touring in Italy.
This September we are coming over from Vancouver (though I’m a brit)for a 3-week honeymoon and plan to do a credit-card tour, but on a somewhat limited budget.
Thinking of Florence-tuscany-Pisa-Alps-Geneva, about 1000km.
We’ve done tours before up to 2 weeks fully loaded, so not too worried about that part. I’m very familiar with travelling in France but have spent very little time in Italy.
Is there any kind of network of cheap hotels/B&Bs that we can tap into? We don’t want to book more than a day or two ahead so we can keep our schedule flexible, but not carrying a tent we don’t want to get stuck.

Any recommendations? Routes, places not to miss?
